Shopping

A shopper's haven or a shopper's heaven? Definitely both. Turin is known to be one of the best shopping places in Italy.

It boasts of Via Roma, which is a world famous shopping street that showcases famous Italian fashion labels such as Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Prada, and Gucci. Shoppers are given the absolute ease of shopping outdoors even in the heat of the sun or on a rainy day with its porticos covering a length of 750 metres. Shopping in Via Roma is like walking into a fashion magazine where all the leather, accessories, and clothes can be found. Shopping-tired bodies can take a break and relax in any of its historic and charming cafes before proceeding to the next boutique.

Another shopping adventure, Via Garibaldi, is a shopping haven in the city, which is composed of a seemingly unending line of shops and boutiques to satisfy any woman's shopping dream. This street starts from Piazza Castello with Piazza Statuto at the other end, and is popular with the younger generations. Other similar street-shopping centres in Turin are Via Barbaroux, Via an Tommaso, and Via Monte di Pieta. All of which sell everything from clothing, to books, to audio equipment, and home furnishings, at highly competitive prices.

Various spacci or factory outlets for famous designer brands can also be found in the city of Turin. In a nutshell, this city explodes with the "shop ‘til you drop" attitude, and it will be a shame if you come here and don't do so.
