Madonna Di Campiglio

Madonna Di Campiglio is one of Italy’s famous ski destinations favored by the wealthy Italians. It is a delightful Dolomite town situated in a busy alpine valley at the foot of the Brenta Dolomite in Val Rendena, Western Trentino. Familiar famous faces are frequent visitors of this place that has so far remained fresh and tranquil despite the complexities of the modern world.

Accommodations are provided by a number of four-star and three-star hotels, apartments and hostels. Rooms are smaller though, based on international standards. Rates are definitely lower during the off-season periods with some choosing to temporarily close down.

The Madonna Di Campiglio slopes are perfect for beginners and intermediate skiers and not much challenge for the advanced and competition level skiers. Snowboarding is very much appreciated and encouraged in this resort. Other winter activities offered here are cross-country skiing, ice climbing, tobogganing, ice skating, sleigh riding, dog sledding and snow hiking.

Non-sporting activities are quite few as Madonna Di Campiglio is essentially a destination for skiing. There is one cinema serving the area, a handful of clubs and bars and cafes. There are many shops and boutiques to satisfy any shopper’s passion for finding the right buy.

Specialized pistes and lifts are continuously being developed to ensure Madonna’s stature as one of Italy’s top ranking destination for snowboarding. The area’s beauty epitomizes the untouched grandeur of nature. The tradition of championship skiing is maintained hand in hand with the much earlier established tradition of mountain tourism.
